What’s it like in Mexico?

Hi All,
This is the Chuck that sometimes lives at A22 (referred now by my cousins as “Choopy” thanks Juanita). Most of you probably don’t know or remember me because simply, I have not been to Mexico in three years now. Because? Well, every time I mention going, my family, friends, even my government screams “No, it is much too dangerous!” For those of you that continue to travel on a regular basis, are there any real problems I should be aware of that are different than they were three years ago?

P.S. On a more personal note, I am still considering that wall we discussed a while back. I don’t have the cat anymore because the coyotes ate him but I still think it would be a good idea for keeping my restaurant going dogs in line. If I wanted to go ahead with this, how would I get that much money south of the boarder these days?

Hi Chuck,
I have been traveling in Mexico since I was 14...now in my 60's...there have always been warnings and fears. Just get through the border towns in a timely manner and not at night you will be fine.
The cartel has always been a problem and always will be unless americans quit doing drugs....
also don't look rich....no gold chains...ha ha ....
Juanita will know the answer on the money thing...I just bring it with me in cash ...but hidden away. Also ATM works fine in San Quintin....
Don't let them keep you away.....just get to CL and enjoy.....your neighbor...Rae
