Cielito RV residents easy pickens for robbers

Postby Juanita on Mon Dec 14, 2009 12:17 pm

Robbers came into Mulege Chuck's (A15) trailer early Sunday, 3:30am, robbed him and tried to steal his van. Chuck hit one of the robbers and scared them off. His new nickname is "Chuck Palooka".
There are very few lights and alarms in the trailers area, making it easy for thieves to break in. The police commented on how dark the area is. The newspaper wrote the robbery up, noting robberies against American tourists and American residents in the San Quintin area are up and expected to rise even more.
A good note, we are back in beautiful weather!!

Hi there all, Interesting.... and he's right accross from Randy and Nancy. We here in Camino can only hope for the best till we return. Kinda scarry that they are so bold as to do this while someone is there. All I can say.... It's really sad that you have to be on your guard everywhere these days.... and it's not just in Baja either. We lock our doors at night here now that we don't have our big Barney dog to protect us anymore. No gun.... but that might be the next thing to do to be ready. D of R&D

hi to all especially chuck...alias flipper chuck,,currently palooka charles..sounds like things are getting a little too tough for good hearted guys like you...hopefully you are ok...I think we need to band together and make our "trailer" area safer...Iworry about ricardo.chuck, elsa ..they don't deserve to be scared..and feel vulnerable...blocking the easy access from the road is a start ...more lights..obviously...brainstorm please....security on week-ends...in the meantime nancy and I wish you all a feliz navidad yprospero ano nuevo...we'll be down for christmas with good cheer in our hearts and palooka bats on the ready...hasta..r.s.
