We just returned from a visit to the Palm Springs area to visit family. We had motel reservations at Pioneertown, near Yucca Valley. An interesting place, built as a live in movie set in 1946, with a very popular weekend bar/ music for the Palm Springs getaway crowd. We spent some time at Dave's brother Tim's desert rancho in Lucerene Valley. Brother Patrick was down from Seal Rock, Oregon for a visit. Lots of fun. Tim has a llama, alpaca, turtles, chickens, burro, pig etc. We picked up daughter Traci and grandaughters Miranda and Kira, taking them to Tim's for some lifetime 1sts, drinking buttermilk (uggh), gatering fresh eggs for breakfast, and petting and walking the animals. We all went to a nearby wolf sanctuary where you are able to interact with some of the more tame wolves. The grandkids (and us) were quite amazed and had an enjoyable time. Had dinner at Pioneertown with residents Randy & Nancy, (from Palm Springs)
